The SpecInfo database server archives MS, NMR (1H, 13C, 31P, 19F, 29Si, 15N, 18O) and IR spectra. The spectral data can be searched. The corresponding chemical structures are stored together with the spectra and are also searchable. Additional information such as Chemical name, Molecular formula, Molecular weight, Literature reference, Solvent, Standard, and Measurement condition is contained in the databases records. In the case of NMR knowledge bases are automatically derived that build the basis for spectrum prediction. All this information can be retrieved using the platform independent Web client SpecSurf. The SpecInfo database server is delivered together with a small database (Basic Mixed) containing all types of spectral data (about 30,000 in total). The SpecInfo Database Server is available on Sun/Solaris, sgi/IRIX, and WindowsNT.
